What made you want to study at the University of Leeds?

The course attracted me because of the diverse course content. Leeds is a good city for studying and living. Leeds still maintains its rich heritage but also has all the modern facilities that a city requires. I was surprised at the diversity of students in Leeds. Leeds and University of Leeds welcome different cultures.

What aspects of the course did you enjoy the most?

I enjoyed the teacher's way of teaching is one of the things that I enjoyed most. In addition to their professional knowledge in their fields, they have an interesting and vibrant delivery of their teaching. I appreciate the support and guidance from my subject tutor. He was always willing to help me answer my questions and solve problems. And his great help in my dissertation cannot be denied.

With respect to the MA subject itself, I enjoyed that it had a range of different modules to select. I also had the chance to meet students and people from different backgrounds and cultures.

What other activities are available for students to take part in outside of their studies, and which ones have you tried out yourself?

The Student Union organises a range of activities for students to take part in. The university accommodation also regularly holds activities to celebrate the holidays and organises some outdoor day trips.

What would you say to anyone thinking of applying to your course?

The course is suitable for students who are keen on intercultural and cross cultural studies. Try every possibility to explore things connected to your studies. Take good advantage of the union and campus. Make friends from different backgrounds and cultures and you will definitely learn something from your friends.
