The EC has confirmed that the UK will be able to take part in the first Horizon Europe calls, including the MSCA Fellowships.

LCS internal process: advice for applicants

Please note that we operate a rigorous peer review system for these applications, and so you are strongly encouraged to get in touch with us at the earliest possible opportunity so that we can help you to shape your research project.

Applications are submitted jointly by the researcher and the UK academic supervisor. It is essential that you make contact with your potential mentor well in advance of the internal deadline (and at least 6–8 weeks before), and notify ASAP to declare your intention to apply. If you do not have a mentor in mind, please have a look at our research pagesstaff profiles, and searchable mentor lists, and feel free to make contact directly with relevant colleagues.

Please note that the University’s internal deadline for this scheme will be Tuesday 28 September, two weeks before the funder deadline, and late applications will not be accepted. Applications must be received by at least Monday 13 September (one month before the external deadline) if you wish to receive peer review on your complete draft application (though earlier submission is strongly encouraged). We will return feedback within 7–14 days of receipt.
