Pedagogic Research in the Arts
Pedagogic Research in the Arts (PRiA)
Supporting the development of high quality scholarship in the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Cultures.
Pedagogic Research in the Arts (PRiA)
We seek to build a culture of excellence to support individuals and Schools in developing innovative and improved teaching engagement across the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Cultures.
PRiA offers support by fostering new internal and external partnerships and networks, providing funding and professional development opportunities, and nurturing the quality and success of applicants to internal and external teaching recognition schemes.
Our scheme of activities is designed to support the professional development of our staff and showcase their successes to internal and external audiences.
Our aims are to:
- identify, support and offer greater coherence for existing and new discipline specific groups for teaching excellence in the faculty;
- advocate for arts, humanities and cultures subject areas, especially in minority and ‘endangered’ subjects;
- explore ways in which research tools/methods/approaches can enhance the significance and impact of scholarship activities.
