Our research
We are an internationally renowned unit with research specialisms in a wide variety of disciplines in Spanish, Portuguese and Latin American Studies. Our research is broadly organised around thematic issues of film and visual culture, gender and sexuality, 'race' and marginalisation, regional and national identity, urban studies, digital humanities, environmental humanities and translation studies. We work on an interdisciplinary basis through history, social sciences, film and digital culture, cultural studies, language and literature.
