Fyodor Mikhailovich Dostoevsky (1821-1881) was a Russian writer famous for such novels as Crime and Punishment and The Brothers Karamazov. His thrilling fiction and thought-provoking ideas on human nature and morality have a timeless reach and universal relevance, and ensure that he continues to be read, discussed and interpreted the world over.
