Our discourse analysis research focuses on the following themes:
- The representation of (road) users in official publications
- Language ideologies in media discourse
- Media representations of rape and violent crime against women
- Politeness in institutional settings
We are active members of the Language at Leeds research hub, and in particular the Language at Leeds research satellite Corpus linguistics.
