Opportunities for Visiting Research Fellows
If you are an academic with a research agenda that you can appropriately conduct at the School of Languages, Cultures and Societies, then our Visiting Research Fellows scheme may be a perfect opportunity for you.
The School of Languages, Cultures and Societies welcomes Visiting Research Fellows from the UK and abroad for a period of up to 24 calendar months. Generally, our Visiting Research Fellows are full-time members of another university/institution, and we welcome applications from established and early career academics. We also welcome applications from professionals outside of academia with work experience in any of the disciplinary fields housed in the School of Languages, Cultures and Societies.
As a Visiting Research Fellow, you will join a friendly, vibrant and multi-disciplinary community of academics in the School of Languages, Cultures and Societies. We recognise you will wish to concentrate on your own specialist research, but we also invite you to partake in our thriving academic community. Be part of discussions or joint projects with academic members of staff and participate in a range of research seminars, public lectures and networking events offered in our School and across its numerous Research Centres and Networks. By prior agreement, you may also contribute guest lectures and/or audit lectures and seminars offered in the School.
Our longstanding Visiting Research Fellows scheme has attracted distinguished academics from around the world.
