Centre for the Comparative History of Print

The Centre for the Comparative History of Print brings together researchers concerned with the history and culture of print in all forms and across all time periods. We have a particular interest in the ways in which print has brought about change in its different technological phases, global contexts, and relationships with other forms of media such as digital.

Our researchers have a wide range of interests that span literature, history, languages, cultural studies, visual arts, communication studies, computing, law, social science, and library studies. We also engage in practical research, workshops, and demonstrations in the School of English print room.
