Description
The overarching goal of this partnership is to build the tools and relationships that will enable us, through this and future partnered work, to make available the complete canon of early modern drama in multiple forms — editions, performance texts, and facsimiles — all provisioned with robust critical and pedagogical materials and linked with other cognate projects. The immediate objectives of our three-year development period are to build the linked platforms for collaboration; collaboratively prepare and implement the editorial and encoding guidelines; design and model new standards and interfaces for digital editions of early modern drama; digitize copies of the plays in our respective holdings and integrate them into the editions; bring editors and theatre practitioners into conversation; and train new and continuing editors in the use of these tools and guidelines.
