The defining features of studying Liberal Arts at Leeds are flexibility and diversity. You'll combine key elements of study in a number of different ways to create a course that is tailored to your particular interests and career aspirations.
You will choose a major in a humanities or social science subject, combined with modules you choose from a set of topic areas. This enables you to follow your interests across a wide range of subjects — providing you with advanced skills of cross-disciplinary enquiry.
The course also offers opportunities for engagement with external partners such as businesses, museums and charities through our research placement module. This is a fantastic opportunity to combine intellectual rigour with the development of wide-ranging skills which employers actively seek.
I think my course is amazing at the moment. I enjoy the modules 'The Digital World', 'Visions of Humanity' and the core module because they encourage me to think and apply my knowledge. I also like how it is based on seminars and lecture, and there are reflective journals to complete, in that way I get to see what my classmates think about various topics."
