Working in partnership

The School of Philosophy, Religion and History of Science is delighted to have strong partnerships with organisations in Leeds, across the UK, and around the world.

Our three disciplines have sustained successful collaborations with faith organisations and religious communities; in professional business ethics; with health organisations, and museums of science, technology and medicine.

More than that, our world-class staff have contributed to key public debates on such topics as climate change, healthcare, extinction, and LGBTQ+ rights.

The School of PRHS now has excellent broad-ranging opportunities not only for applied research, but also for student learning. Here are just a few examples:

•    The Community Religions Project has a long tradition of research in partnerships in Yorkshire and beyond. The project continues to build new relationships via the Leeds Faith hub.

•    The Inter-Disciplinary Ethics Applied Centre has worked with organisations in finance, healthcare, engineering and artificial intelligence to develop frameworks for ethical practice.

•    The Centre for History & Philosophy of Science has collaborated on PhD projects  with the Science Museum, British Library, National Archives, and the Thackray Museum of Medicine.

Overall we work hard to deliver outstanding events, projects and opportunities for students, staff and people living in the city of Leeds, and far beyond.
