Platform for Interdisciplinary Research in Art, Technology and Education (PIRATE)
The Platform for Interdisciplinary Research in Art, Technology and Education (PIRATE) will explore the potential of technology, old and new, to address the existing gap between research and education in the academic context.
It will see the university as a fertile ground for cross-pollination and discovery and a catalyst for social change, facing the challenges which we are confronted by in the 21st century.
Rather than identifying a defined set of goals, the platform aims to be a place for open inquiry where questions will emerge from the interaction between divergent fields of investigation.
By applying Janusian Creative Thinking methods, among others, the generation of new knowledge will be promoted.
