Leadership Ethics, Persuasion and Public Reason

Leadership ethics research group

Our research

The Leadership Ethics, Persuasion and Public Reason research theme explores the ethical issues around how people and institutions influence the beliefs and actions of others, and the obligations that come with power and influence.

One of our key projects, entitled ‘Leading Minds’, has the goal of building a comprehensive ethics of persuasive leadership. Mainly focused on organisational influence and leadership, it draws from a broad range of subjects including ancient and political philosophy, organisational studies, psychology and business leadership.
