Evaluating co-curation as a pedagogic tool on ARTF5253M Interpretations module
Project lead
Dr Robert Knifton, School of Fine Art, History of Art and Cultural Studies
Project description
The aim of the project is to document, evaluate and disseminate approaches to action-based learning and co-curation as a pedagogic method within the teaching of museums, galleries and heritage at the University of Leeds.
Our MA programmes involve small group projects with archives, museums, galleries, and cultural providers on campus.
We are surveying students and project partners in order to produce case studies highlighting the innovative approach to learning this entails, the benefits to students, and the impact on cultural venues on campus.
We hope that this research will help encourage further action-based learning and co-curation as a pedagogic method elsewhere in the university.
