In 2012, IDEA conducted a significant research project: Real Integrity, funded by the ICAEW’s charitable trust.

We surveyed 1,444 accountants and interviewed 94 employees of 15 organisations.

The report set out evidence-based techniques organisations can use to promote and encourage integrity. It had a wide impact beyond accountancy, for example informing the Leveson Inquiry into the culture, practices and ethics of the British press.
