University of Leeds wins global award for international student satisfaction
The University of Leeds has received a StudyPortals Award for Excellent International Student Satisfaction.
The awards are based on nearly 16,000 reviews by international students from around the world. This year, a record number of students chose to study abroad, and insight into the experiences of other international students can be very influential in their choice of institution. The University of Leeds achieved a score of more than 9/10 - this places it joint first in the UK alongside five other universities.
This is wonderful news for our University, which prides itself on being a truly global institution and is currently home to nearly 8000 students from 147 different countries. Professor Hai-Sui Yu, Pro-Vice-Chancellor: International, said of the award:
"Here at Leeds, student satisfaction is a core priority, which is why this award is so important to us. We want students to have a great experience with us [...] As the University’s first Pro-Vice-Chancellor: International, I want to continue our excellent work in global engagement, encouraging talented students from all over the world to live and study in this dynamic city."
This excellent news closely follows the University's achievement of 90% student satisfaction in the National Student Survey and being named The Times Good University Guide's University of the Year 2017.
