University of Leeds Teaching Awards 2022 winners

We’re really pleased to announce that two outstanding staff from the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Cultures have been announced as winners in the University of Leeds Teaching Awards 2022.

The awards celebrate excellent practice in student education, as well as the work and innovation of colleagues to deliver high-quality teaching and learning at Leeds.

Award winners receive a cash award to support professional development or scholarship, a certificate of recognition and an invitation to a celebratory event which will take place in September.

Our congratulations to all the winners, including two staff from the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Cultures:

  • Dr Leah Henrickson (Lecturer in Digital Media in the School of Media and Communication) who was awarded the Early Career Excellence Award after being recognised for her innovative and impactful student education practice.
  • Dr Martin Ward (PhD, Hiroshima) is a Lecturer in Chinese and Japanese Translation in the School of Languages, Cultures and Societies. Martin is committed to educational outreach and frequently visits local high schools to give taster sessions in Chinese, Japanese, and translation.
