Our Faculty Vision and Strategy

We are delighted to share our new Faculty Vision & Strategy for 2025-30. Over the next five years, we will build on our many unique strengths to produce world-class research, offer an outstanding student experience and forge sector-leading partnerships, while embedding environmental and social responsibility in everything we do.

The arts and humanities are essential to understanding and addressing the world’s most complex challenges, and our strategy will ensure that we work inclusively across disciplines and sectors to drive positive societal change - locally, nationally, and globally.

Ours is a bold vision, and we look forward to working with colleagues, students, and partners to make it a reality.

Graduate School

The Faculty has a strong history of interdisciplinary postgraduate research work and support for this innovative approach to research.

Language Centre

We offer pre-sessional courses to help you improve your English for your studies. If you want to practice English or another language, you’ll find great resources and activities in our Language Zone.

Cultural Institute

The Cultural Institute thrives on ideas from the creative and cultural sector and aims to nurture partnerships between arts professionals, researchers and students from all disciplines.

Leeds Arts and Humanities Research Institute

The Institute creates opportunities for collaborative and interdisciplinary work for researchers at every stage of their careers by hosting seminars, supporting research projects and events on campus.

Berkofsky Awards

The Berkofsky Arts Award celebrates and supports creative excellence in the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Cultures. It is open to all final year undergraduate students.

Student Advisory Board

The Student Advisory Board (SAB) is a group of 12 undergraduate and taught postgraduate students from Schools across the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Cultures who can speak from their own experience to make a positive impact on equality and inclusivity in student education and experience.
