I Never Agreed to Lend My Voice: Act 2

The eleven MA Fine Artists studying at the University of Leeds follow up the success of ‘I Never Agreed to Lend My Voice’ by re-curating its second iteration in collaboration with Hyde Park Art Club.

Join the artists at this new exhibition at Hyde Park Book Club as they continue to experiment, push boundaries, and boldly examine power and authenticity through painting, drawing, sculpture, audio-visual pieces, and text-based work.

In a world where artists’ ownership of their own work is increasingly under threat, 'I Never Agreed to Lend My Voice: Act 2’ embodies a desire for artists to fully own their work, narratives, identities, and practices. The title, drawn from a spontaneous conversation in the studio, captures a growing sentiment of resistance; a rejection of censorship.

Be a part of their ongoing conversation exploring humour, adoration, voice identity, environment, and politics where not only are their voices heard, but you are encouraged to speak.

Join us for a private view from 7pm to late on Tuesday 13 May. Please RSVP here if you would like to attend the private view.

Watch this space for details of an in-discussion/performance event on the Monday 19 May, 7pm-8pm.
