Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Cultures Graduate School
The Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Cultures hosts postgraduate researchers (PGRs) involved in a range of multidisciplinary research areas across all our Schools.
Close relationships have existed between all schools in the Faculty, but also across the University for example with the Faculty of Social Sciences, the Faculty of Biological Sciences, the Leeds University Business School and the Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences.
The Graduate School is committed to ensuring that the Equality and Inclusion Framework ‘Everyone Included – Everyone Involved’ is at the heart of everything that we do.
PGR research groups and representatives
The AHC Graduate School sponsors a number of PGR research groups each year to help postgraduate researchers build networks and participate fully in the intellectual life of the Faculty. There are also funding opportunities for PGRs to present their research at conferences and share their research with external partners. Each School in the Faculty has at least one PGR representative who sits on the the Faculty Graduate School Committee and local Committees within the School.
Interconnections
Interconnections brings together postgraduates from across the Faculty to meet others, share cultural experiences, discover Leeds and Yorkshire, and to form academic and social connections.
Faculty Graduate School Postgraduate Research Centre
Postgraduate researchers can use any of the three workrooms in the postgraduate research centre, based in Botany House, offering 24 workstations and a mixture of networked PCs and desks for laptop use. There is disabled access, and all rooms have a height adjustable desk, with one room designated a "silent" workroom.
There is a common room with kitchen facilities and casual seating arrangements and printers and storage lockers are also available.
