An MA by Research (MAR) in the School of Philosophy, Religion and History of Science allows you to take independent research at Masters level. For many, this is perfect springboard for a PhD.
You will research and write a thesis of approximately 30,000 words on a subject of your choice. With close one-to-one supervision, you’ll be supported to deliver a project that meets your needs.
You can complete this postgraduate research degree in one year (full-time) or two years (part-time).
Studying part-time allows you to continue your career alongside your studies and to schedule supervision sessions to fit around your working life.
Scholarship and fees
