Leeds PRHS Visiting Fellowships
The School of Philosophy, Religion, and History of Science invites applications to its Non-Stipendiary Visiting Fellowships scheme for the academic year 2022/23.
Fellowship periods can be from one month to a year. The fellowships are non-stipendiary. Junior and senior applicants are equally welcome, though applicants must hold a PhD. Proposed research projects should clearly mesh with the research interests of members of one or more of the research centres affiliated with the School.
Visiting fellows will be provided with full library and information systems access, and office space where possible. There are no formal duties. Fellows will be expected to pursue their research and participate in seminars, reading groups, and other aspects of the research life of one or more of the research centres. The fellows will be helped to identify potential sources of funding for workshops or other events they might want to organize during their fellowship at Leeds.
To apply, please send a CV and a one-page letter indicating (a) the research project you would pursue during the fellowship period, (b) your preferred start and end dates, and (c) your nationality. These materials should be sent to the School’s Research Support Officer, Isobel Lister (firstname.lastname@example.org)
Please note that if you are not a UK citizen, you may require a visa. Since processing of the required paperwork is out of our control, we cannot guarantee that you will be able to take up your fellowship at your preferred start date (especially if it is early in the academic year).
Your application can be conditional, as the School recognizes that interested applicants may be pursuing other opportunities as well.
Applications will be evaluated on a rolling basis, with an initial review of applications in June. To guarantee consideration in that review, the application materials mentioned above should be received by Wednesday 1 June. Applications received after this date will be evaluated without prejudice in the order of receipt.
