CTS alumnus has MA thesis published by the Association of Translation Companies (ATC)
David Gray studied MA Conference Interpreting and Translation Studies at the Centre for Translation Studies, Leeds.
Congratulations to David Gray, MACITS alumnus (2018-19) for having his MA dissertation published by the Association of Translation Companies (ATC).
Raisa McNab, Chief Executive Officer at The Association of Translation Companies (ATC), has pointed to “the lack of standardisation in how UK public sector organisations accept certified translations, and the diverging practices adopted by producers of certified translations in the UK”.
Ms MacNab, together with Dr Alina Secară and Dr Dragoș Ciobanu (Leeds CTS), supervised David’s thesis analyses, in which new evidence he gathered in this respect, proposes steps to be taken towards the standardisation of professional practices.
