Dr Natasha McKeever edits volume of essays: Philosophy of Love in the Past, Present, and Future
Dr Natasha McKeever has edited a volume of essays alongside André Grahle and Joe Saunders which has recently been published by Routledge, titled ‘Philosophy of Love in the Past, Present and Future’.
Philosophy of Love in the Past, Present and Future features 15 original essays on the philosophy of love with topics ranging from Plato’s Symposium to the technological future of love.
Dr Natasha McKeever has also written one of the essays in the book, wich focuses on the topic of Online Dating and Love Robots: How Technology May Undermine Valuable Features of Romantic Love. The essay considers the use of dating websites and applications, such as Tinder, with their ever increasing popularity and improving dating algorithms, which promise to find the ‘perfect match’, along with, love-bots which can be programmed to suit romantic and sexual desires and needs.
