Professor Jessica Meyer's inaugural lecture now available to watch online
The School was pleased to celebrate Professor Jessica Meyer’s inaugural lecture, ‘No (Wo)Man’s Land: Writing history at the intersection of gender and First World War Studies' in June 2024.
Challenging assumptions that the history of the First World War has been mostly written by male scholars, Professor Meyer traced the expansion of the topic with particular reference to gendered histories of the war and her own specialism of masculinities and medicine.
The lecture is now availble online for those who were unable to attend the live event. You can find this inaugural and those of other colleagues in the Faculty of AHC on the Leeds Arts and Humanities Research website.
