Professor Stephanie Dennison to lead research activities in São Paulo

As Director of the AHRC-funded network Soft Power, Cinema and the BRICS, Stephanie Dennison, along with Paul Cooke and Vlad Stukov (CWCDC) and Rachel Dwyer (SOAS) will attend a series of high-profile events in Sao Paulo 27-28 October 2016.
In collaboration with a range of partners, including the Sao Paulo International Film Festival, Spcine, Cultural Initiative Institute (Brasil) and the British Council, the two-day event will include specially curated film sessions, an international symposium on film and soft power with film agency representatives, filmmakers, producers, film critics and academics from Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa, and a Round-table discussion of the image of Brazil in comparative perspective, hosted by the British Council Brazil.
