Exclusive communications placement programme launched for University of Leeds students

Students selected for the programme will gain hands-on experience across PR, digital strategy and music marketing, working as part of WildKat’s international team.

WildKat PR  has launched an exclusive industry placement programme with the University of Leeds, formalising a long-standing relationship and creating a dedicated pathway for students interested in careers across music, communications and the wider creative industries.

The partnership builds on years of collaboration between WildKat and the University of Leeds. Leeds alumni have played a significant role in the agency’s development, including the agency’s former Managing Director, who began as a placement student before progressing through the organisation. By focusing its early-career placements exclusively on Leeds students, WildKat aims to provide a clear, structured bridge between academic study and professional practice.

“Universities play a crucial role in preparing students for the realities of the creative industries,” said Kathleen Alder Long, Founder and CEO of WildKat PR. “This placement programme is designed to complement academic learning with meaningful, hands-on experience, giving students the opportunity to develop practical skills, confidence and professional insight in an international working environment. We’re proud to be deepening our relationship with the University of Leeds in a way that supports students’ long-term career development.”

Students selected for the programme will gain experience across PR, digital strategy and music marketing within WildKat’s international team.
