Dr Clive McClelland guest spot on BBC Radio 3 show
Dr McClelland will join BBC Radio 3's 'The Early Music Show' on 31st October at 2pm.
Dr Clive McClelland, Associate Professor of Music at the University, will join presenter Hannah French for the radio programme which will focus on ‘Fear and Terror in the 18th Century’.
We all know the effect a good soundtrack in a scary movie can have, but this is nothing new. Composers have always liked using musical discontinuities to frighten their audiences. In this programme, the focus is on Fear and Terror in the music of the 17th and 18th centuries.
