School of Music masters

Masters courses

Our one-year Masters courses offer the opportunity for you to develop your skills and knowledge to an advanced level in a specialist area in music. You'll be taught by staff who are leaders in their field of research and have substantial experience in industry.

You'll become part of a diverse postgraduate community with students from a range of subject backgrounds and benefit from excellent facilities. 

Regular events, including a wide-ranging programme of research colloquia, in the School and across the University will allow you to network and build relationships with professionals from different industries and sectors. Outside of your studies, you'll be encouraged to take part in the many opportunities on campus to make the most of your time at Leeds.

We also offer postgraduate diplomas and many of our courses can be studied part-time.
