Profile
I hold a Master’s degree in Chinese Translation and Interpreting (Advanced) from the University of Queensland, Australia, which I completed in 2016. Since then, I have been working as a lecturer for over five years at East China Jiaotong University, where I led the interpreting program. My teaching responsibilities included courses in business interpreting, consecutive interpreting, and simultaneous interpreting.
In 2021, I started my doctoral research at the University of Leeds, focusing on the information processing involved in simultaneous interpreting. My research utilizes eye-tracking technology to better understand how interpreters process information during simultaneous interpreting.
In addition to my academic roles, I have been a freelance conference interpreter for 8 years, providing simultaneous and consecutive interpreting serivices at over 500 international conferences. My work spans a wide range of sectors, including education, economics and finance, aviation, environment, energy, technology, healthcare, and more. I also bring over six years of experience in translation, specializing in business trade, policy development, and legal documents.
