Marilena Iannidinardi will discuss working for the European Commission and opportunities for interpreters after Brexit.
Marilena Iannidinardi, a Leeds University graduate and Deputy Head of English booth at the European Commission, will give an insight into the industry and the profession. She will talk about what it is like working for European institutions, and discuss opportunities for interpreters after Brexit. The EU still needs English speaking interpreters and certain languages are currently in high demand.
You can attend in person or online.
Staff from MA Conference Interpreting and Translation Studies course at the University of Leeds will also be available to answer any questions you may have.
If you attend in person, you welcome to come to our Interpreter Training Facility in the Parkinson building after the event, to have a try at simultaneous interpreting in a booth.
We have a range of funding and scholarship opportunities available to support your studies.
