Applications are now open for a Teaching Fellow in Medieval History

We are looking for a Teaching Fellow in Medieval History, the role will focus on the central and later Middle Ages. The closing date for this role is the 6th April.

Are you an academic with proven abilities to carry out research-led teaching in medieval history, with a particular focus on the central and later Middle Ages? Do you have the ability to motivate and inspire students? Are you keen to contribute to the world-class Institute for Medieval Studies?

You will carry out teaching in medieval history, with a particular focus on the history of the Crusades. You will also contribute to the delivery of ‘Medieval and Renaissance Europe’, a core level one module. In your second year of appointment you will be encouraged to run your own, level 3 special subject, related to your research area. You will also be expected to contribute to MA teaching, including the supervision of dissertation students, within the Institute for Medieval Studies, and to contribute to its culture of interdisciplinary research and research-led teaching. The role will be fixed term for 2 years.

You will have a PhD in History or a cognate discipline (or be close to submission) and relevant teaching experience.
