Women, Gender and Sexuality

Women gender and society research group

Women, Gender and Sexuality applies comparative and transnational methods and approaches to historical constructions of gender as they were shaped by the experiences of both women and men. It researches family, kinship and population and encompasses scholarship from the perspectives of gender, sexuality, race, class and culture. Women, Gender and Sexuality has particular interests in Britain and America, the broader problem of the legal construction of gender, and the history of masculinity.
