El Chojín in Leeds

The Spanish hip-hop artist visits the University.

We are proud to host a visit by Spanish hip-hop artist El Chojín to the University of Leeds, funded by the Association of Hispanists of Great Britain and Ireland.

El Chojín will be staying with us until early December, during which time he will be finishing the lyrics for his next album (due to be released in Easter 2017), speaking to scholars in Leeds, London and Southampton about topics as diverse as multicultural Leeds, Mexican rap, and immigration and race relations in the UK since the EU Referendum, and meeting members of Leeds Young Authors about their writings.
