Profile
I began my Ph.D. at Leeds in October 2018. Before that, I completed an MA in American Literature and Culture at the University of Leeds (2015) and a BA in English linguistics and Literature from King Saud University in Saudi Arabia (2013). I also worked as a university lecturer in Saudi Arabia for two years.
Research interests
My current research interests are American national and transnational literature in the nineteenth-century, transatlantic literary history, and literary celebrity studies. I am especially interested in the way literary celebrities established transatlantic imaginative intimacy to publicise their literary works and engage in sociopolitical discourses.
