Graduates become new stage@leeds associate artist
Leeds based theatre company ‘Forget About the Dog’ joins dance artist Devika Rao as new associate artist at stage@leeds.
Made up of graduates from the School of Performance and Cultural Industries at the University of Leeds, ‘Forget about the Dog’ formed in 2015 with their first production The Life and Times of Lionel.
Their work reflects the creative use of space, bombastic comedy and heartwarming narratives that explore the often struggling mind of an individual. They are dedicated to cohesive nonsense, thought provoking whimsy and well made tea.
The stage@leeds associate artist programme provides artists with the support of a fully resourced theatre and staff and encourages companies to take the next step in their careers. Previous associates ‘Worklight Theatre’ who created their multi award winning ‘Labels’ during their time as associates have gone on to become internationally renowned for their work
