Professor shortlisted in TaPRA awards
Jonathan Pitches, Professor of Theatre and Performance in the School of Performance and Cultural Industries has been shortlisted in the 2018 TaPRA awards.
Professor Pitches has been nominated in the TaPRA Research Prize for Editing category for his co-edited book with University of Malta’s Dr Stefan Aquilina, Stanislavsky in the World, published by Bloomsbury last year.
The new TaPRA Research Prize for Editing (Essay Collections and Special Issues) is intended to recognise the outstanding contribution that editing of collections and special issues can make to our discipline. The prize is awarded for collections or special issues that have been published within 24 months of the nomination date.
Professor Pitches said, “I was delighted to receive this honour, which I heard about on my 50th birthday, what a nice present! The book took 5 years to complete, and includes case studies written by local experts, historians and practitioners from across the continents of Europe, Asia, Africa, Australasia and South (Latin) America.'
