We are looking for a new Lecturer in International History, the role will focus on post-1945 history. The closing date for this role is the 1st March.
Are you an academic with proven abilities to carry out teaching and research in post-1945 International History? Do you have an excellent research record and a potential for establishing an international reputation? Are you passionate about delivering an exceptional student experience in a research – intensive Russell Group University?
As Lecturer, you will carry out research and teaching in any aspect of international history in the period since 1945 (we expect to appoint someone who complements our existing research strengths and teaching interests), and contribute to the effective management of the School, Faculty, and wider University.
You will be able to teach at all levels of the undergraduate programme, including our specialist single-honours degree in International History and Politics, which is expanding to meet growing student demand. You will also contribute to relevant MA programmes (including the MA in Modern History and the MA in War and Strategy) and supervise research students. You will have a PhD in History or cognate discipline and relevant teaching experience.
