Students receive bursaries in competitive award process

Textile Design final year students Ailsa Jennings-Bramly and Molly Talbot have been awarded bursaries from the Worshipful Company of Framework Knitters and the Society of Dyers and Colourists.

Ailsa Jennings-Bramly has received a £3,000 bursary from the Worshipful Company of Framework Knitters and will also take part in a week's residential training with international industrial knitting machine manufacturer, Shima Seiki. The residential training will take place at Castle Donnington in Derbyshire.

Molly Talbot has also been awarded a £400 bursary from the Society of Dyers and Colourists for materials to support her final year project on dynamic colour changing wovens. Molly is applying for an MA in Material Futures at Central Saint Martins but is keen to return to the University of Leeds to undertake a PhD in the School of Design.
