We are delighted to announce that Ingrid Sharp has been promoted to a Chair in German Cultural and Gender History, the first woman professor in its long history.

The School of History employs more than ten undergraduate students each year in a variety of intern roles. Our interns for 2016-17 have been reflecting on their work this year.

We are looking for a Teaching Fellow in Medieval History, the role will focus on the central and later Middle Ages. The closing date for this role is the 6th April.

The annual lecture will be held on the 3rd May and will be given by Kehinde Andrews, Associate Professor of Sociology at Birmingham City University. The event is open to all.
