Profile
I am a PhD student at the School of Philosophy, Religion, and History of Science, supervised by Dr Léa Salje and Professor Helen Steward. During my first year, I was also supervised by Dr Jessica Keiser.
My research primarily focuses on the philosophy of mind, particularly in questions related to the first-person concept and self-consciousness. My PhD project discusses the distinctiveness of first-person thought and examines the unique features it captures. I aim to argue that what truly sets first-person thought apart is not the thought itself but the metaphysically unique object it refers to.
Beyond my main interest on research, I find everyday experiences—such as psychiatric cases, irrational beliefs, and dreams—exciting and try to integrate them into philosophical discussions. I am also deeply interested in topics related to indexicality and rationality.
