Mangoletsi Scholarship in Theoretical Philosophy - MA by Research/MA Philosophy
The School of Philosophy, Religion and History of Science (PRHS) at Leeds intends to offer the Mangoletsi Scholarship for 2016 entry.
The Mangoletsi Scholarship will support study towards a full-time or part-time taught or research Masters in the subject area of Theoretical Philosophy. The scholarship is available to candidates who intend to commence the taught MA in Philosophy programme in September 2016 or the MA by Research programme in Philosophy in October 2016. It is required that the research proposal (MA by Research) or a proposed Dissertation title (taught Masters) should establish the applicant’s intention to pursue a course of study in the subject area of Theoretical Philosophy (broadly construed).
The Scholarship is available from 21st September 2016 (taught Masters) or 1st October 2016 (research Masters) and consists of a full fee waiver for Home/EU students and a partial fee waiver (equivalent to the full Home/EU rate) for international students.
Students will typically register and begin their studies no later than 21st September 2016 (taught Masters) or 1st October 2016 (research Masters). Awards must be accepted for enrolment in 2016/17 (they cannot be deferred).

The closing date for applications to these scholarships is Monday 12th September.
Applicants must have applied for a place of study, and submitted all supporting documents, prior to the scholarship deadline. Applicants who have already submitted a relevant application for 2016/17 must make sure that any outstanding supporting documents are submitted by the deadline.
The only further requirement is that taught Masters applicants for the Mangoletsi Studentship should submit a proposed Dissertation Title with a view to establishing the applicant’s intention to pursue a course of study in the subject area of Theoretical Philosophy (broadly construed). The proposed Title should be submitted to prhs_pgenquiries@leeds.ac.uk in an email message with the Title “Mangoletsi Scholarship Application”.
MA by Research applicants should submit the research proposal they would like considered as part of their scholarship application to prhs_pgenquiries@leeds.ac.uk in an email message with the Title “Mangoletsi Scholarship Application”.

Eligibility for the scholarship is conditional on securing a place on the taught MA in Philosophy or MA by Research in Philosophy programme in the School of PRHS at University of Leeds.
