Profile
I am a full-time postgraduate distance researcher in the School of Philosophy, Religion, and History of Science. My PhD research examines intersections between traditional Indian medicine and yoga in the evolution of self-healing and purificatory methods that developed within haṭhayoga from the fifteenth century onwards.
During my Master’s degree at SOAS, University of London, I focused on yoga history and Sanskrit. My MA dissertation presents new insights into the Indo-Persian martial origins of Sūryanamaskār.

South Asian Studies, Hindu Studies, Yoga History, Traditions of Yoga and Meditation, Haṭhayoga, Modern Yoga, Indian Medicine, Medical Anthropology, Sanskrit Texts, Buddhism, Jainism.
