Profile
I am a postgraduate researcher in the School of Philosophy, Religion, and History of Science. My PhD investigates intersections between asceticism, medicine, and yoga, with a particular focus on the evolution of health-centred purificatory practices within Hatha Yoga from the fifteenth century onward. My research is primarily philological, but also draws on the disciplines of anthropology, ethnography, history, and philosophy.

South Asian Studies, Hindu Studies, Yoga History, Traditions of Yoga and Meditation, Haṭhayoga, Modern Yoga, Indian Medicine, Medical Anthropology, Sanskrit Texts, Buddhism, Jainism.
