International Network for Audience Research

International Network for Audience Research

Facilitated by Lisa Baxter from The Experience Business, the first scoping event in the International Network for Audience Research in the Performing Arts (iNARPA) was designed to bring together those who are interested in raising the profile of audience research and ultimately foster a culture of audience centricity in the arts sector.

“Really interesting approach to engaging audiences and listening to feedback.”

This exciting new network led by Dr Ben Walmsley, Associate Professor in Audience Engagement in the School, aims to stimulate new debate on the potential of emerging audience research methods to provide fresh insight into questions of cultural value by bringing together academics, consultants, artists, audiences and arts practitioners from a diverse range of disciplines.

The University of Leeds in conjunction with Deakin University will be managing the network with support from the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC).

As part of the network there will be four events over the next two years. Alongside these events the network will have an interactive blog to keep the conversation going, add thoughts, criticisms, bright ideas, breakthroughs, discussion topics and debates.
