Profile
Since appointment to the role of Operations Manager in 2012, I've secured funding and lead on several significant development projects: The Audrey Burton Green Room (2013), Clothworkers Bar (2015), Clothworkers Screen (2017) and most recently, the creation of a new, technologically-sophisticated, livestream performance space in the fully refurbished Clothworkers Centenary Concert Hall Foyer. Between 2015 and 2017 I managed the logistical, technical and financial elements of the All-Steinway School project. I provide day-to-day management and strategic lead for the University's International Concert Series and the School's Technical team. I maintain an oversight of all School events, with a specific remit for the generation of income through facility hire. Through partnership and collaboration with the wider Leeds region, I strive to develop new, impactful external relationships that spawn opportunities for University of Leeds students to access local creative, cultural and technology-based organisations, groups and individuals. Since appointment to the staff at Leeds in 2006, I've played a key role in the adoption and subsequent development of IT systems: University Online Store (2008), ERA+ / Box of Broadcasts (2009), HEIF-funded remote IP-audio recording system (2011), Livestream (2013), and EPOSNOW (2015). I have worked in IT for 25 years and advocate the use of technology wherever I believe benefit can be derived.
