Profile
Currently, I am a PhD researcher specializing in popular music education. I studied music education (undergraduate) at Wuhan Conservatory of Music, and then focused more on music industry research at the University of Liverpool (graduate). My academic background in the music industry made me aware of the marriage of popular music and music education. With a strong desire and enthusiasm to explore unfamiliar areas of music, I decided to pursue further research at the University of Leeds.
Research interests
My research interests focus on the intersection of popular music and music education. I aim to increase understanding and awareness of the current situation of popular music education in Chinese universities through analysis and investigation of how popular music affects national music education, and to provide guidance for its future development. Provide advice on development.
