My research centres on understanding the transformation of popular music in social movements since the 2010s, and to explore how popular music acts as a mediator linking up people with diverse ages.
Prior to the PhD, I obtained my Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism and Mass Communication at The Hong Kong Shue Yan University, then completeing my Master’s Degree in Sociology with distinction at the University of Hong Kong, with the dissertation titled “A cultural and sociological exploration of the integration of Hong Kong to Greater China's music market”.
