Profile

Since joining the University of Leeds in 2006, I have designed and delivered numerous Thai language modules both on undergraduate and postgraduate level. For me, it has always been important to develop innovative and effective ways of integrating language learning with cultural exploration that allow students to not only enhance their Thai language skills but also gain in-depth understanding of Thai society, traditions, religions, and history.

Deeply committed to producing global citizens and being passionate about cross-cultural communication, I have a keen interest in constantly developing new and exciting pedagogical techniques that make learning Thai as a foreign language insightful and enjoyable. In my role as Thailand Year Abroad Tutor, I aim to provide our students with plenty of opportunities for transformative and valuable experiences that will allow them to gain profound insights into Thai society whilst learning the language and developing their intercultural skills.
