6th in the UK for History

The School of History has been ranked 6th in the Guardian League Table 2019.

We are delighted that Leeds University has been ranked 6th in the UK for History in the Guardian League Table 2019.  The reputable league table ranks universities according to a range of factors including course satisfaction, teaching quality, feedback and graduate prospects.  

We have performed particularly strongly in the area of teaching quality with 97.3% of students saying they were satisfied with the teaching they received in the 2017 National Student Survey. This is reflective of student's opinions on the enthusiasm of teaching staff and how interesting, intellectually stimulating and challenging students find our courses. Earlier this year we were also ranked in the Top 100 Universities worldwide for History in the QS World Rankings.

We are very proud of the results and continue to strive to be a world leading School for both teaching and research in History.
