Profile
I completed my PhD at the University of Central Lancashire, focusing on the overlap between orthographic standardisation and history of the book as a material object. Prior to my PhD, I undertook an MA in English Studies (Socio-Historical Pathway) and a BA in English Language and Linguistics, both at the University of Sheffield. I have taught at the University of Central Lancashire (UK) and the University of Giessen (Germany) and held research positions at the University of Manchester (UK), the University of Giessen (Germany), Leiden University (the Netherlands) and Herzog August Bibliothek (Germany).

Research interests
My research interests are interdisciplinary and mainly encompass socio-historical, pragmatic and historical linguistic issues.
